Panto fun thanks to the PTA

On Tuesday year 5 travelled to Yeovil to watch the Christmas pantomime- Sleeping Beauty. We all had a fantastic time thanks to the hard work of the PTA who raised lots of money! The next day, we decided to write to the PTA to thank them and encourage them to raise more money so we can go again... Our letters are up outside our classroom so come along and find out what we thought about it!

Getting into gear in year 5

This morning we had a great time looking at levers, pulleys and gears.
First we set up a seesaw and looked at how easier it was to lift a child with a little finger!

Then it was off to the Music studio where Mr Toogood our caretaker showed us how he used a pulley to lift big boxes up into the storage loft.

Our volunteer tried lifting a box over her head and then used the pulley which she said was the easiest!

Back in the Hall, Mr Wahab showed us his bicycle. It had 21 gears on it.
