Science Day success! (RRS)

The day started with an assembly where Mrs Cheeseman showed us some super things: how two different sized balls bounce together, how to extinguish a candle with out blowing it out or pouring water on it and the amazing blue goo that can be a solid one moment and a liquid the next.

Then we went on a carousel of activities:
Mr Preston showed us what happens when you add washing up liquid to coloured milk
Mr Wahab showed us what happens when you mix water and oil.
Mr Mustard made us blow up a classmate,
and Mrs Cheeseman made us detect who wrote the note left in our classroom.
 

In the afternoon, we made posters of our favourite investigation. Here are a few ...













Science day!

Today the children throughly enjoyed ,any different experiments and investigations as it was Science Day! In Poplar class years five and six were "Blowing up" one another by using straws, duck tape and bin bags!

PE - Relay Race

Today year 5 had their final day of Athletics, practising the relay race using batons. They all throughly enjoyed his lesson with plenty of laughter and just a slight hint of competitiveness...

PE - Hurdles
